FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization that was founded in 1989, with its headquarters in Manchester, NH. Besides organizing the FRC (FIRST Robotics Comeptition), it also organizes the FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) and the FLL (FIRST LEGO League). All of these competitions bring together huge numbers of students and mentors. During all these programs, Gracious Professionalism is promoted.

The FIRST Mission:

Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership.
